Breakout rooms allow teachers to create focused discussions and group activities within a class. They are an important part of interactive and engaging learning.
Classverse provides breakout rooms with more flexibility than traditional one-time meeting breakouts. Teachers can create multiple breakout rooms in advance or during a live session, and simply open them when needed.
Teachers can define the number of rooms and choose whether students are assigned automatically or manually. Teachers can enter and move between breakout rooms at any time to monitor or guide discussions.
When breakout rooms are closed, all students are automatically brought back to the main classroom video call.
When a teacher opens breakout rooms, an update is automatically posted to the class feed to inform students that a breakout session is in progress.
Students can view the names of the breakout rooms and see which participants are assigned to each room.
The feed post indicates when the breakout session starts and when it ends. The post remains in the feed afterward, providing a record that a breakout session took place and how long it lasted.
